I don't want to die.

i've been conditioned since childhood that i'm going to live forever.

i'm having a hard time contemplating the fact that i'm going to die.

i'm so afraid of death that i can't enjoy the life i have now.

Did you ever consider that while you were a JW believing that you will never die that you were never living in the present but the future That you put off living today for a future reward when everything will be perfect and you will be happy.

Your life no longer belongs to the GB It's yours to enjoy one day at a time Sure make plans for the future but don't pin your happiness on them. As the Chinese say "Happy every day" Works for me. I'm 61. I don't know how many days I have left, I don't care. I'm too busy enjoying this one.

my manager expects a business plan tomorrow morning, and of course with all the holiday stuff i totally blew it off until the last minute.

if it weren't for procrastination, i'd have no plan at all.

i need to show how i plan to be profitabl, and i am so new to all of this, i have no clue where to start.

for those who believe in god, do you believe he has one true organization on earth?

word of our intended slow fade has abruptly become a public knowledge.

my husband was talking to his sister on the phone today, breaking the news to her and one thing she kept bringing up was that god has to have an organization on earth.

As a JW Did you Feel " Guilted " to go to Meetings /Service if Injured /Sick ?

many people in the jehovah's witnesses , older ones, younger ones have been expected to pioneer, go in field service with physical disabilities and are even considered "martyrs" if they push themselves to their physical capacities beyond reasonableness .

thus many witnesses feel sick, exhausted, tired, and essentially fight depression due to high expectations to " burn out " for the wt society.

have any of you experienced this while in the witnesses ?.

Yeh Guilted by my bloody wife. She put on such a performance if I did not feel like going and wanted to stay home that I'd finish up going just to keep the peace.

in fact, most people, including ex-dubs think they are wonderful verses.

Love.. If you define love as a warm fuzzy feeling what Peck called catharsis then No! You can't command it. The man at the pub crying into his beer while he tells the barmen how much he loves his family may have the warm fuzzy feeling: but is it love? When they are neglected waiting for their Husband Father to come home. The good Samaritan. Which one loved his neighbor and how do we know? By how he acted. The bible was written by Easterners where Love is largely defined as action. As Peck said in his book "The road less traveled" A truly loving person acts in a loving way even when he does not feel it"You must love the Lord your God ....Yes obey him and love your neighbor

to me, they're only gifted athletes, nothing more..
